1. How do I know if my transmission needs repair?

Common warning signs include delayed shifting, slipping gears, hard shifting, leaking transmission fluid, unusual noises, a burning smell, poor acceleration, or a Check Engine Light that is on or blinking. Our Bartlett technicians provide a free transmission inspection to identify the exact cause before recommending repairs.

2. Is it better to repair, rebuild, or replace my transmission?

It depends on the amount of internal damage. Many vehicles we assess only require a repair instead of a complete rebuild or replacement. After a complete complimentary inspection, we explain every available option so you can make the best decision for your vehicle and budget. We also give you upfront pricing, and offer financing to qualified buyers, if needed.

3. Can I continue driving with transmission problems?

We never recommend it. Driving with slipping gears, overheating, delayed shifting, or leaking transmission fluid can cause significantly more internal damage and may leave you stranded. Early diagnosis usually saves money in the long run. That's why we offer free inspections to all of our customers!

4. Do you repair CVT transmissions?

Yes. We diagnose and replace many CVT transmissions found in Nissan, Honda, Subaru, Toyota, Mitsubishi, and other manufacturers.

5. Why should I choose Coleman Taylor in Bartlett?

Drivers throughout Bartlett have trusted Coleman Taylor for decades because we specialize in transmission repair, provide free inspections without unnecessary teardown, employ ASE-certified technicians, offer financing to qualified buyers, honor most extended warranties, and back qualifying repairs with one of the strongest nationwide warranties available. Coleman Taylor is a local name you can trust!
